Draco had decided that this all hallows eve he and Harry would be having a stay at home holiday. Since he and Harry had been together, he’d had three completely different experiences. Enough was enough.

The first Halloween they’d spent together, they’d both gotten so drunk that Abeforth had to Floo them home. Neither of them had memories of that night, and Draco vowed that he would never do that again.

For their second, Harry dragged Draco to Godrics Hollow where they’d spent the night shivering in a graveyard while Harry tried to explain to his parents about his relationship with Draco. It had taken an hour-long soak in a very hot bath to get them both warm again.

Then last year had been… well... interesting. Harry had totally forgotten about the date until some idiot at the Ministry mentioned the Halloween party at The Three Broomsticks in passing and asked if Harry and Draco were going. Draco assumed Harry would say no, but no, they went, they partied, they came home, and they shagged liked bunnies.

That had been the best of the lot, well apart from the sore arse he’d sported for the next week. This year, however, Draco was putting his foot down. They weren’t leaving the house unless a new Dark Lord was on the loose.

Draco decorated the house with jack-o-lanterns, model bats, cauldrons and Muggle style witch silhouettes, rendering it a colourful display of black and orange.

Spending the evening giving out bowls and bowls of sweets to the neighbourhood children had its perks. They could sneak some for themselves, of course. And in between greeting children at the door, they indulged in heated snogging and frotting sessions.

At ten o’clock, after the last child had emptied the last sweet from the bowl, Harry dragged Draco up the stairs to their bedroom. He banished their clothes with a wave of his wand, and a quick lubrication and stretching charm later, Harry sunk into Draco. Neither of them lasted very long, coming simultaneously with shouts of ‘oh yes’ and ‘oh Merlin’ only a few minutes later and slumping together afterwards in a puddle of sated goo.

The next day Draco pronounced that this was the best all hallows eve ever and they were to celebrate like that every year.

A big grin split Harry’s face. For once, he totally agreed with his boyfriend.
