Cricket
Title: Cricket
Author: [info]fancypantsdylan (on LJ as[info]rage_jt)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Weasley twins, Phelp twins, Tom Felton, Dan Radcliffe
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: AU, cross over with RL
Word count: 1,097
Beta: [info]xdseme
Summary: The Weasley twins arrange a cricket match with surprising guests.
Disclaimer: All characters owned by JK Rowling, I just play with them. No profit made on use of characters.
A/N: Inspired by the quote by Dan Radcliffe when asked in the interview of the July issue of Carpicho magazine, "Where would you like to be right now?" his answer was: In a good cricket match with Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy. The problem is that we’re always recognized. His blond hair draws too much attention. I at least can take Harry’s glasses off when I leave the set. AND these pictures.

“Wow Draco, you look really good in those cricket whites.” Harry drooled as Draco came sauntering into the living room.

“Really? I thought they made my arse look too big.” Draco replied, peering back at said arse.

“No, definitely not.” Harry reassured him, patting his bum for good measure.

“So who are we playing again?” Draco enquired.

“No idea, someone the twins know, so could be anyone,” Harry replied shrugging, “All I have are the co-ordinates for apparating. So let’s get going.”

Harry ushered Draco outside, wrapped his arm around his waist and disapparated.

Landing slightly more gracefully than usual, due mostly to Draco’s support, Harry was surprised to see they were standing near a proper cricket pavilion. This should be interesting.

“Look, there are the twins,” Harry indicated, pointing in the direction of the pavilion, “And it looks like their standing next to another set of twins. This just gets more intriguing.”

“Harry, I have a bad feeling about this.” Draco said as he took Harry’s hand.

They strode over to the two sets of twins. Up close Harry had to agree with Draco, something wasn’t quite right and he had a very good idea who the other twins were. James and Oliver Phelps, which meant big trouble.

“Harry, Draco…”

“Good to see you both!”

“Guys,” turning to the Phelps twins, “This is Harry and Draco, the two most awesome friends a man could have.” Fred enthused.

Now Harry knew they were in trouble. Seeing as Fred was being so complimentary about them. And giving these two their real names, something was really off.

“Nice to meet you.” Harry replied, trying not to show how nervous he was, he extended his hand hoping it didn’t shake too much.

Turning around as someone shouted out to Oliver, Harry spied his own counterpart Daniel Radcliffe and coming close behind him was Tom Felton. Harry swung back round just in time to see Draco faint dead away.

~*~

Turning on Fred and George Harry shouted “What were you thinking? See what you’ve done.” Pointing to Draco’s prone body, “You made Draco faint!”

Kneeling down next to his unconscious husband, Harry pulled out his wand and whispered “Ennervate.”

Draco blinked several times before finally sitting up. “Ah what happened?”

“You fainted.” Harry said, soothing Draco’s hair back from his eyes.

“Malfoy’s do not faint!” Draco replied.

“Well this Malfoy did,” countered Harry. “I think it might have been the shock of seeing those two.” Harry explained, bringing to Draco’s notice Tom and Dan again.

“Oh. My. God! What in Merlin’s name have you two got us into now?” Draco said rounding on Fred and George.

“It’s OK…”

“…their cool.”

“Their cool! Their cool! They are not cool. We are breaking I don’t know how many Ministry rules, not to mention the Statute of Secrecy!” Draco yelled. “We need to get out of here NOW! Before the MLE descend upon us.” Panic now firmly setting in.

~*~

“Harry…” Implored George.

“Oh no,” Harry said shaking his head for good measure, “You’re not getting round me like that this time. And anyway I totally agree with Draco on this. What were you thinking? Us playing cricket with them!” Harry took a deep breath and continued, “If anyone finds out, its not only you that’s going to be in trouble, but us as well. And you’re already skating on thin ice with the MLE. What possible reason can you give me that will make this OK?”

George and Fred looked at each other, seeming to communicate silently. Harry thought ‘that wouldn’t be surprising’ eyeing them suspiciously.

“Harry, its perfectly OK.”

“We OK’d it with Kingsley.”

“He knows all about it.”

“Oliver and James approached us.”

Still suspicious, but willing to give the twins the benefit of the doubt, especially after they mentioned Kinglsey, and knowing Harry could contact Kingsley quite easily to confirm this, Harry replied “Go on.”

“Well, its all you’re fault really.” accused George.

“Yes, you were spotted at the Half Blood Prince Premier.” continued Fred, smirking openly now.

Draco came up beside Harry then, placing his arm around his husband’s waist for obvious support.

Harry sighed “Who spotted us?” Looking at George suspiciously.

“That would have been Oliver.”

“Who told James.”

“And from there, they did a little investigating.”

“Found our names on the rental receipts.”

“And sent an Owl, which I think was ingenious,” concluded Fred.

“Oh” Harry replied, now looking very guilty.

“Yeah. What was that, using our names anyway?” George asked.

Draco’s hold on Harry tightened, Harry could tell he was feeling distinctly uncomfortable now. Harry patted his arm to reassure him.

“Look guys, we weren’t going to use our names now, were we? So we put yours down instead.” Harry explained looking decidedly sheepish. “Plus we were disguised as women and only changed after everyone had gone into the theatre. Although not everyone apparently.” Harry finished, looking at the Phelps twins accusingly. “Looks like these two could give you a run for your money.” Harry added with a little admiration in his voice.

“But that still doesn’t explain those two.” Piped up Draco, nodding towards Dan and Tom.

Everyone was suddenly looking at Dan and Tom, who had been very quiet, not sure really what was going on.

“Guys, I thought we were going to play cricket,” Dan said.

“That’s what we’re trying to arrange,” replied Oliver.

“So what’s the problem?” asked Tom.

“Our friends here are a little nervous,” explained James.

“Why? We won’t hex them.” Dan laughed.

Tom sniggered then suggested “Why don’t you introduce everyone, then perhaps we can get this match started.”

Harry looked from George to Fred back to Draco and replied, “We would prefer to remain anonymous, if you don’t mind.”

“Ooh. La de da. Someone famous are you?” Tom enquired.

“No. Just two ordinary blokes.” Harry replied, “But we prefer a no-names policy. That way no one gets hurt.”

Looking a little skeptical at Harry, Dan shrugged his shoulders and replied “No problems, we understand.” Turning to Tom he said “Look at the things we’ve done not to be noticed in public before, lets leave it and play cricket.”

Tom nodded in agreement, picked up the cricket gear he had dropped earlier and walked onto the pitch with Dan. Harry caught the last bit of their conversation as he passed “Strange, but they seem vaguely familiar.” Harry smiled, so they weren’t completely oblivious then.

Harry just hoped there were no more surprises today. Taking hold of Draco’s hand again he enquired “So which team is batting first?”
